An unusual George III Pepper Caster made in London in 1817 by Emes & Barnard.

The Pepper stands on a circular pedestal foot decorated with a band of foliate motifs. The Main body is chased with an unusual band of foliate scrolls, acorns, oak leaves and shamrock motifs. The pull off cover is pierced with roundels and vertical pails and terminates in a ball finial. The interior displays fine original gilding.
