An unusual George III Octagonal Caddy Spoon made in Birmingham in 1818 by John Lawrence.


The Caddy Spoon has a very unusual Octagonal shaped bowl, which is engraved with a raying flower head motif in an oval prick dot frame. The fiddle pattern handle is engraved with unusual foliate designs and prick dot bands. The Spoon is in excellent condition and is very well marked on the back of the stem. A near identical form can be seen in Caddy Spoons by Captain John Norie, plate52, figure d.
