An unusual George III Cream Pail made in London in 1781 by Robert Hennell.

This piece is modelled as a milk maids pail, has slightly tapering sides and displays a beaded base, rim and arched handle. The sides are also beautifully engraved and pierced with Neo-Gothic arch work, vitruvian scrolls and beautiful flower heads in roundels. The front also displays a vacant circular cartouche. The pail is in excellent condition, is very well marked and has a blue glass liner.
