An unusual George III Christening Mug made in London in 1815 by Emes & Barnard

The Mug stands on a circular foot which is decorated with foliate motifs. The main body is baluster in form and displays a wide band of lobing. The upper section displays an everted rim above a band of vine leaves and grapes. The handle is beautifully modelled as a trailing vine and is attached to the main body with vine leaf mouldings.
