An important George I Marrow Spoon, of unusual large size, made in London in 1724 by Joseph Smith I.

The Marrow Spoon is modelled in the Hanoverian Rat Tail Pattern and is most unusually of the serving spoon size. This is only the third example we have had in nearly fifty years, and the earliest. Most marrow spoons are of the tablespoon size. The Spoon is in exceptional condition, has an outstanding colour and is very well marked. A very rare and desirable piece.
