An extremely rare pair of George III Drinking Mugs made in London in 1802 by John Mewburn.

This very rare pair of Georgian Drinking Mugs are made in a design which we have not previously encountered. Both are modelled in the same design as a breakfast cup and stand on a spreading foot, with slightly tapering plain sides. The Mugs have plain side handles and are engraved with a contemporary Crest, with the coronet of a Baron above. The Mugs are in excellent condition and are very well marked on the side.

Diameter at the rim: 3.6 inches, 9cm.

Weight: 14oz in Weight, the pair.
