An extremely rare Marriott Patent Pickle Ladle made in Sheffield in 1856 by Henry Wilkinson & Company.

This very rare Pickle Ladle is modelled in the unusual design patented by Marriott. This piece has a double struck fiddle, thread and shell pattern stem of slender form. The top of the stem is engraved with a contemporary Crest and the bowl is very well marked. The reverse is stamped with Marriott registered Oct 23rd 1856. These are extremely rare serving utensils, this only being the second we have offered over the years.
