An extremely rare George III Snuff Box made in Birmingham in 1811 by Thropp & Taylor.


This very rare piece is modelled in the form of a Skiff, with prick dot engraved work to the base to simulate a clinker-built hull. The beautiful, hinged, cover displays exceptional bright cut and prick dot engraved decoration depicting various unusual sea shells. The interior is very well marked and displays exceptional gilding. This is one of the rarest designs of Snuff box and is in excellent condition.
