An extremely rare George III Silver mounted Guinea Case. Made, most probably, in London circa 1780.
342108
The Moroccan red leather case has plain silver mounts and is very unusually modelled as a travelling trunk, with ring handles on each end. The top displays a disc cartouche engraved with contemporary script initials. The cover opens up to reveal a divided interior for the coins. Due to its fragile nature, this is a rare 18th century survivor.
