An extremely rare George III Silver mounted Cream Jug made in London in 1807 by William Rudkins
224508
It is our opinion that this very rare piece was part of a silver gilt dessert service and was possibly part of one of the rare silver gilt mounted glass strawberry sets. The elongated main body displays deep crisp cutting and the base is cut with a raying motif. The top displays an inverted rim and the sides are also facetted. The Jug is decorated with silver gilt reeded band mounts and a reeded angular Greek Key handle, of most unusual design. This is an exceptionally rare piece, of the finest quality, and examples very seldom come onto the market.
