An extremely rare George III Corrugated, Divided, Tea Caddy made in London in 1786 by Robert Hennell.

The Caddy has a flat top and very unusual corrugated sides, a design of caddy which was peculiar to the Hennell workshops, however examples are extremely scarce. The sides are beautifully engraved with an eclectic mix of bright cut designs including flower heads in elongated ovals. The hinged cover is also engraved with a triple bright cut band and terminates in a pineapple finial. As well as being modelled in this very rare design, the Caddy is also divided inside for two different types of tea. The Caddy is in excellent condition and is fully marked on the base and with the makers mark and sterling mark on the cover.
