An extremely rare George II Campaign Set made, most probably, in London circa 1740

The set has an unusual rectangular case, of tapering form, with silver mounts and a hinged cover. The sides are covered in shagreen and the cover opens to reveal a fitted interior. The image shows the contents which are, from the right hand side:

- Hanoverian pattern silver spoon.

- Silver sabre knife blade.

- Steel two prong fork, with octagonal silver canon handle. This handle can be screwed onto the knife when not used on the fork.

- Steel bodkin.

- Silver pencil top

- Silver ear scoop

- Steel tweezers

- Steel needle.

- Ivory Aide Memoire.

It is most unusual to find a complete set in such good condition. A very rare piece.

Length of case: 3.75 inches, 9.38cm.

Width, at widest point: 1.9 inches, 4.75cm.
