The Baskets are most unusually modelled as carrying baskets with two scroll side handles and a beaded rim. Each stands on an oval pedestal foot decorated with acanthus leaves. The main body is pierced with a wide band of arch work and displays a lower lobed section. Each has a blue glass liner and is fully marked in the foot. The Salt Cellars are of a very rare Classical design, not often seen on the market.
