An extremely fine pair of cast naturalistic Salt Spoons made in Birmingham circa 1850 by Edward Turnpenny.

These cast spoons have trailing, foliate, openwork stems and fluted shell bowls, finely gilded, and decorated with a vine leaf. The spoons are in excellent condition and are well marked on the reverse with the makers mark ET, for Edward Turnpenny.
