An extremely fine George IV Silver Gilt Vinaigrette modelled as a Pocket Watch. Made in Birmingham in 1829 by Ledsam, Vale & Wheeler.

The Vinaigrette is silver gilt and is finely modelled as a Pocket Watch with engine turned concentric designs on both the cover and the base. This piece displays a cast floral and foliate border and pretty suspensory loop. The cover opens up to reveal a finely gilded interior with a grille pierced with pluming scrolls and flower heads. This piece is in excellent condition and is very well marked, with a makers mark and sterling mark on the underside of the grille.
