An extremely fine George III Vinaigrette made in Birmingham in 1810 by Joseph Willmore.


The silver gilt Vinaigrette is broad rectangular and has a very unusual slender form. The base and cover are unusually engraved with a wriggle work oval flanked by foliate motifs in each corner. The cover displays a vacant rectangular cartouche and the cartouche on the base is engraved with a raying stylised flower head. The interior displays exceptional gilding and is pierced and engraved with trailing foiate designs.
