An extremely fine George III Pepper Caster made in London in 1785 by William Abdy.

The Pepper stands on a spreading pedestal foot decorated with reeding and beading. The main body is modelled as a Neo-Classical vase and the shaped domed pull off cover is decorated with beaded bands and is pierced with plain roundels.
This piece is in excellent condition and displays a fine gilded interior.
