An extremely fine George III Milk Jug made in London in 1809 by Richard Cooke.


This very fine Jug stands on a circular spreading foot decoarted with gadrooning. The main body is decorated, on the lower section, with lobing and rises to a rim displaying egg and dart motifs. The unusual harp shaped handle is decorated with reeding and an acanthus girdle. The interior is palely gilded and and the side of the main body is engraved with a contemporary Crest. This piece is in excellent condition and is very well marked in the foot. The quality of this piece is exceptional, as would be expected from this maker.
