An exceptionally fine & unusual Cast Rococo Revival Salver made in London in 1836 by William Eaton

This exceptional piece is cast and stands on three scroll leaf capped feet. The raised scroll border is decorated with Rococo shell details and flowing foliate motifs. The Salver is chased with a most unusual wide border of shell details and scale work. The centre is engraved with a contemporary Armorial, surrounded by a floral and foliate spray cartouche. The Salver is fully marked on the reverse and the quality is outstanding. Cast Salvers are very rare and, therefore, the weight is outstanding.

The Armorial is that of the Moone family of Ash, County Devon.
