An exceptionally fine & rare George III Silver Gilt Micro Mosaic Vinaigrette made in London in 1816 by John Reilly.


The Vinaigrette is rectangular in form with an engine turned base and incuse sides. The cover displays a Micro Mosaic plaque of the Pantheon in Rome, surrounded by a red marble frame and crimped silver gilt surround. The interior displays fine gilding and an unusual pierced and engraved grille decorated with semi circles containing flower heads and foliate sprays. The box is in excellent condition.
