An exceptionally fine George III cast silver gilt Vinaigrette, modelled as a Fob Watch, and made in Birmingham in 1818 by Samuel Pemberton.

This exceptionally fine silver gilt Vinaigrette is unusually cast and is of a very good weight.  The outer rim is chased with flower heads and scrolls and the front and reverse displays a wide circular border of trailing vines and grapes around an engine turned centre.  This piece opens up to reveal a pretty hinged grille pierced and engraved with a band of feathery scrolls around a central flower head,  This piece has its original chased suspensory ring.  The Vinaigrette is in exceptional condition and is very well marked.Diameter: 1.5 inches, 3.75cm.
