A very rare 'Teardrop' Caddy Spoon made in Birmingham in 1812 by William Pugh.

The bowl of the spoon is most unusually shaped as a teardrop motif and is engraved with basket weave designs. The handle is engraved with various bright cut designs, basket weave pattern and a vacant cartouche. This spoon is in excellent condition and is well marked on the reverse. A near identical example is shown in Norie, Plate 47, Fig a.
