The Caddy Spoon is silver gilt and is modelled in the rare Rococo leaf form and displays a finely detailed vine leaf bowl, with textured finish. The shaped handle is decorated with vines leaves and a bunch of grapes. The spoon displays a very attractive shade of gilding, is in excellent condition and is very well marked on the reverse of the bowl. An identical example is shown in Captain Noriess. Caddy Spoons. Plate 104, figure b. The example shown in the book was made in the same year and by the same maker.
