The Candlesticks stand on a shaped stepped base which is decoarted with gadrooning. The upper section of the stem displays matted leaf capping and four stylised lions heads with scroll work and a drop below, echoing the work of De Lamerie. The base of the socket is decorated with blue bell motifs interspersed with foliate motifs and the upper section with plain protruding girdles. The unusual detachable nozzles are also decorated with a band of wavy foliate motifs and a band of rope work.
