A very rare Iced Tea Cup and Saucer made in London in 1892 by Charles Boyton.

This exceptionally rare piece may well have been used during picnics and is of plain design. The Saucer is circular in form, with a raised edge and stands on a reeded ring foot. The Cup has a plain loop handle and also stands on a reeded ring foot. This piece is of the finest quality and may well have been a special commission. The Cup and Saucer must have been used for iced tea, as it would have been impossible to hold the tea cup if it had been filled with a hot liquid. Both pieces are well marked, are of a good weight and are in excellent condition.
