A very rare George IV Vinaigrette made in Birmingham in 1822 by Joseph Willmore.

The Vinaigrette is broad rectangular in form and is beautifully decorated, on the cover and base, with an outer band of scrolling foliage and flower heads. The centre displays an extremely unusual stylised flower head made up of interlocking leaves. The sides display both foliate and beaded bands. The interior is finely gilded and displays a grille pierced and engraved with pluming scrolls. This example is fully marked on the bezel. A very rare and unusual design.

Length: 1.1 inches, 2.75cm.
