A very rare George III Wine Label made in Dublin circa 1790 by John Teare.
192412
The Wine Label is of the eye shaped form and displays an outer bright cut border. This example is engraved for Claret and displays the unusual Bacchus & Barrel motif above, holding a wine flask, flanked by pierced and engraved branches. This design is seldom seen on the market and the quality of the engraving is very fine. The label is in excellent condition and is very well marked on the reverse.
