A very rare George III Caddy Spoon made by Thomas Willmore of Birmingham circa 1786-90.

The Caddy Spoon is a rare design and is unusually modelled as a coal shovel with pointed end. The bowl is engraved with a vacant prick dot shield design and the handle with a feather edge border, vacant cartouche and stylised foliate motifs going down the stem of the spoon. This piece is in excellent condition and is very well marked on the reverse of the handle. A rare design not shown in Caddy Spoons by Captain John Norie.

Length: 2.75 inches, 6.88cm.

Width across the bowl: 1.45 inches, 3.63cm.
