A very rare cast Poppy Vinaigrette made in London in 1888 by Susanah Brasted.

This very rare novelty Vinaigrette is cast and is finely modelled as a poppy. This example has a textured stem and main body to simulate the surface of the poppy. The beautifully modelled top pulls off to reveal a circular pierced section, which would have allowed the aroma to come through. This piece is in excellent condition and is fully marked on the stem and with the sterling mark, duty mark and makers mark on the cover. Poppy Vinaigrettes are exceptionally rare, especially by this scarce Lady maker.
