A very rare Cast Caddy Spoon made in London in 1848 by George Adams.

This very rare spoon is cast, with a very unusual egg shaped gilded bowl textured on the front and reverse with foliate designs. The tri-furcated handle, is also decorated with scrolls and foliate motifs. This spoon is a George Adams design and a near identical example is shown in Caddy Spoons by Captain John Norie, Plate 26, fig e. Most Caddy Spoons are die stamped or made from sheet silver and to find a cast example is most unusual. This piece is in excellent condition.

Length: 3.5 inches, 8.8 cm.
