A very fine & unusual George IV Mug made in London in 1821 by Emes & Barnard.

The Mug is modelled in the unusual campana form and stands on a circular pedestal foot decorated with a band of foliate motifs. The main body rises to an everted rim and displays a raised crisp band of trailing roses on a matted ground. The handle is beautifully modelled as a serpent coiled around a branch. The Mug displays a gilded interior and is fully marked on the side of the main body.
