A very fine & unusual George III Silver Gilt Dish made in London in 1800 by John Emes.

The Dish is circular in form with a raised gadrooned edge and deep circular centre. The border is unusually engraved with a shield shaped Armorial and set of contemporary script intials. The Arms are those of Hagley, an ancient Worcestershire family, originating from Hagley in that county. The Dish is in excellent condition and is very well marked, displaying all the quality hallmarks of John Emes work.
