A very fine silver mounted Travelling Inkwell made in London in 1855 by Rawlings & Summers.

The Ink well has a very heavy glass base decorated with a star cut design and also displays unusual triangular lobed sides. The hinged cover screws in place and is engraved with pluming scrolls and shell details. The cover is also engraved with the cipher of the original owners. This piece is of the finest quality, is in excellent condition and is very well marked.
