The Pocket Snuff Box is of an unusually large curved form and is decoarted on the hinged cover, base and two sides with unusual stylised sycamore leaves on a prick dot ground. The sides are engraved with a band of prick dot waves, with foliate sprigs above. It is most unusual to find this decorative design and examples seldom appear on the market. The decoration is in excellent, crisp, condition, as are the marks and the finely gilded interior. A rare and desirable example.Length: 3.25 inches, 8.13cm.Width: 1.9 inches, 4.75cm.Height: 0.75 inches, 2.88cm.
