A very fine pair of George II Cast Candlesticks made in London in 1758. Makers Mark of WA, see Grimwade Mark 3863.

The Candlesticks stand on raised square bases, with sunken wells, decorated with gadrooning and engraved with a contemporary Crest. The tapering faceted baluster shaped stems are decorated with gadrooning and linear bands. The circular detachable nozzles are also decorated with gadrooning. The candlesticks are in quite excellent condition, with an excellent colour, and are very well marked in the base. The makers mark of WA is recorded in Grimwade, Mark 3863.
