A very fine George IV Toast Rack made in London in 1825 by Emes & Barnard.

The Toast Rack stands on four cast feet decorated with shells, acathus foliage and flower heads. The platform base is decorated with gadrooning, interspersed with acanthus leaves and double Rococo shells. This piece has six arched reeded divisions and an oval carrying handle decoarted in the same manner as the feet and the base. The handle is also engraved with a set of script initials. This example is in excellent condition and is very well marked on the base.
