A very fine George III Wine Coaster made in London in 1781 by William Plummer.

The Wine Coaster is of exceptional quality and has a spreading base and beaded rim. The sides are pierced with two bands of vitruvian scrolls and Neo-Classical urns in ovals. The sides are also engraved with floral and foliate garlands and a contemporary Crest in a circular prick dot cartouche. The Crest is that of the Deale family of Faversham, County Kent. The Coaster is well marked, is in excellent condition, and displays its original fruit wood base.
