A very fine George III Snuffer Tray made in London in 1778 by Louisa Courtauld & George Cowles.

The Snuffer Tray has a waisted form and beaded rim. The sides are engraved with two bands of prick dot and bright cut designs and the centre of the base is engraved with a contemporary Crest within an oval bluebell drop cartouche. Work by Courtauld & Cowles is rare, but always of the finest quality.
