The Skewer is of typical Irish design with a large ring end and a shaped section at the top of the blade with incuse sides. The ring and blade are beautifully engraved, on both sides, with crisp bright cut designs as well as two elliptical cartouches, one containing the Irish star and the other a set of contemporary script initials. The skewer is in excellent condition, is of a good gauge, and displays a very crisp set of hallmarks.
