A very fine George III Silver Gilt & Gold Snuff Box made in London in 1817 by Pemberton & Mitchell.


The silver gilt and gold Snuff Box is broad rectangular in form and the sides and cover are decorated with a crisp band of trailing vines and grapes. The cover displays a central cartouche engraved with script initials surrounded by a frame of beaded and corded bands. This decoration is repeated on the base surrounded by a gold frame. The interior is very well marked and displays exceptional gilding.
