A very fine George III Serving Trowel made in London in 1771 by Charles Aldridge & Henry Green.

The Trowel has a triangular shaped blade with feather edge rim and scalloped top edge. The main blade is pierced with vertical pails, scroll work and stylised flower heads. The Old English Pattern handle is decorated with feather edge borders and is attached to the main body with a cast double shell moulding. The Slice is in excellent condition and is very well marked. Charles Aldridge & Henry Green were specialist pierced workers of the finest quality.
