A very fine George III Serving Slice made in London in 1817 by William Knight.

The Slice is made in the Fiddle Thread and Shell pattern and the blade has a gadrooned edge. The centre of the blade is pierced with two fish and a central exotic bird, all surrounded by scroll work and acorns. The handle is attached to the blade with a bold shell moulding and the top of the stem is engraved with a contemporary Crest. The Slice is in excellent condition and is very well marked. William Knight made some of the finest Slices during this period.

Length: 12 inches, 30cm.
