A very fine George III Neo-Classical Coffee Pot made in London in 1774 by John Carter II.

The Coffee Pot stands on a square pedestal foot which is decorated with a circular band of beading. The vase shaped main body also displays a band of bold beading where it meets the neck, as does the edge of the cover. The cast scroll spout is decorated with leaf capping and the fruit wood handle displays silver shell mouldings where it is attached to the main body. The domed hinged cover terminates in a fruitwood finial and the front of the main body is engraved with a contemporary Crest surrounded by a crossed branch and tied bluebell garland cartouche. The Coffee pot is in excellent condition and is of the finest quality, as one would expect from this Royal maker.
