A very fine George III Needle or Bodkin Case made in Birmingham 1802 by Samuel Pemberton.

The Case has a pull off cover and narrow rectangular form, with cut corners and slightly tapering sides. The case is engraved with foliate sprays on a scrach engraved ground surrounded by prick dot frames. Each side also displays a vacant diamond shaped cartouche. This piece is fully marked on the cover and with the maker's mark on the base.
