A very fine George III Heraldic Wine Label made in London circa 1780 by James Hyde.

The Label is oval in form and displays a crisp bright cut oval border. This piece displays an oval cartouche above engraved with a set of contemporary script initials and flanked by supporters engraved with herring bone designs. The face is pierced for SHERRY and the label is well marked on the reverse with the maker's mark and sterling mark.
