A very fine George III Caddy Spoon made in Birmingham in 1805 by Cocks & Bettridge.

The Caddy Spoon is modelled as a shovel and is beautifully engraved in the bowl with an acorn. The reverse of the bowl is engraved with a set of contemporary script initials, flanked by floral sprays and prick dot borders. This example has a turned ivory handle, stained with sycamour which was fashionable at this date. A pretty Caddy Spoon in excellent condition, with crisp marks.
