A very fine & beautiful pair of George III Wine Coasters made in London in 1776 by Robert Hennell.

The Wine Coasters are circular in form with a stepped base and beaded rim. The sides are beautifully pierced and engraved with vertical pails, laurel leaf swags and flower heads in ovals. The front of each piece is engraved with a contemporary Crest on an oval disc cartouche. The Coasters are in excellent condition, are very well marked and display their original fruitwood bases.
