A very fine and unusual George III Two Bottle Cruet made in London in 1786 by Charles Aldridge & Henry Green.


The Cruet has a boat shaped base with raised beaded rim and stands on four cast trifurcated scroll feet. The two reeded bottle cages are held in place with a skewer mechanism underneath. The beautiful faceted glass bottles stand on shaped feet cut to simulate flower heads and are decoarted with beaded bands. The hinged covers have raying shell thumb pieces and reeded loop handles. This piece is in excellent condition and is fully marked on the underside of the base. This item is reserved.
