The Salts are plain in design and stand on a stepped oval foot which is decorated with reeding. The oval main bodies display an applied beaded rim and have gilded interiors. Each piece is very well marked in the foot. Along with John Carter II, Wakelin & Taylor supplied silver to both George III and his son The Prince of Wales, later King George IV.
