A rare silver gilt Jug of the Aesthetic movement made in Birmingham in 1885 by Frederick Elkington.

The silver gilt Jug is beautifully engraved on the upper section with trailing foliage and flower heads, above an arch work band. This example has a sparrow beak pouring spout and scroll handle. The base is very well marked. Pieces from this movement are scarce to the market.
